Collection: Alphonse Maria Mucha
Alphonse Maria Mucha (24 July 1860 - 14 July 1939) was a Czech painter, illustrator and graphic artist, who lived in Paris during the Art Nouveau period. His work during this time was amongst the most well known. He is most well known for his images of women in theatrical posters and advertisements.
In later life he returned to his native Czechoslovakia and dedicated himself to creating a series of twenty canvases known as The Slav Epic, which he painted between 1912 and 1926.
