Augustus Addison Gould (April 23, 1805 - September 15, 1866), was an American physician, naturalist and conchologist (the study of shells).

Regarded as one of his most important scientific works, was Mollusca and Shells (vol. xii, 1852) which he created between 1838-1842 as a crew member of the United States Exploring Expedition.
