Collection: Carl Chun
Carl Chun (1st October 1852 to 11 April 1914) was a German zoologist and marine biologist who studied at the University of Leipzig.
He specialised in cephalopods and plankton and in 1898 led the first German deep-sea expedition named "Valdivia". In 1940, the last in a series of 24 volumes entitled "Scientific results of the German deep-sea Expedition" were published.
